Yes! The beauty of the full-service experience is that I will guide you through the entire process. You do not have to come to me already knowing what will fit best! In our first consultation, we’ll chat in depth about your family and preferences for how you see your memories living in your space. For wall art, I create digital mock-ups with actual images from your space, and calibrated to show a realistic depiction for how it will actually feel in your home. In your Presentation & Ordering Meeting, you’ll get to choose your favourites for the products you’ve chosen, as well as browse material swatches and samples. For albums, I’ll create your design and send for you to digitally preview and approve for production.
are captured in the tail end of a session, when everyone is at ease and enjoying time together. I don't offer the typical mini session as we know it, because we're not going to rush through your family session. We'll warm up and get comfortable, let the kids be kids, explore and snuggle, and capture your life together. (Note: While not often, you can always watch for my studio portrait events, which are intentionally designed to have a separate structure from connecting as a family, but with intent producing an epic moment for keepsaking.)

Do you offer mini sessions?
Absolutely! If you’re in the midst of a move, renovating, or just passing through the area, purchasing your full set of digital files is always an option. That said, I’m also happy to ship artwork to you or help design wall art for your future space so it’s ready when you are. My passion is turning your family’s memories into tangible, heirloom-quality pieces, so if you're looking for just a quick set of digital files, I may not be the right fit. Your family’s story deserves to be seen and enjoyed every day.
Can I just purchase my digital files?
Yes! If you're planning a celebration (birthday, baby shower, anniversary or any important milestone), you need Sherry from Little Chic Parties in your life. She and her team will literally bring your imagination to life in the most thoughtful, personalized way.

do you have a party vendors you work closely with to recommend?
We always have the option of rescheduling your portrait session, should there be poor weather or illness. Note, you are responsible for confirming rescheduling policies with your makeup & hair stylist prior to your session date.
What happens if we have to cancel our session?
Your Presentation & Ordering Meeting is scheduled 2-4 weeks following your session. In this meeting, you get to come into the studio, sit back, enjoy seeing your portraits for the first time and then make your final decisions on your package choices from earlier visioning. (There’s always an option to expedite the timeline, if needed!)
When will I get to see the images from my session?
If you’re ordering wall art in a high-sun area of your home, I always recommend a UV lamination upgrade. Albums are best handled with clean hands, and away from food or drink. If you’re concerned, ask me about the album I offer with the most wipeable surface. I'm here to answer all those questions!
How do we care for our albums and wall art?
Heima Studio is located just 15min south of Calgary and just a few minutes outside of Okotoks. It’s also where we’ll meet for your Presentation & Ordering meeting. Your portrait session can be in studio or on-location.
Your full service portrait experience begins with a simple creative fee. This will secure your session date in my calendar, as I only book a certain number of clients/month so that I can ensure my ability to serve you fully.
From there, since every family’s vision for how they want their memories to live in their space varies, we'll choose a package tailored specifically to your needs, home & style, and family. In our initial consultation, we'll chat through your vision and options for preserving your memories. I’m your guide the whole way through - from session consultation to product selection, all the way to delivery and installation.

Unlike digital-only photographers, who leave the entire DIY printing process lingering on your to do list, I complete your family portrait experience by turning those important memories into timeless keepsakes that you can hold, display, and pass down to the next generation. My entire goal in every step of the process along the way: to bring your vision for how you want to preserve your family's memories to life in your home!
