It can be frustrating to feel like a buying experience isn’t hitting your needs on the head. In looking for a photographer, we can often feel frustrated when packages feel generalized and templated. Investing in documentation of those you love the most shouldn’t feel like you need to fit a certain mold. That’s why, at Heima Photography, booking a session is never a cookie cutter experience. In fact, at the very beginning of your experience, we’re going to take the time to chat in depth about the vision you have for your session, as well as what you envision doing with the portraits we’ll create together and where you want them to live in your space.
You are never bound to a cookie cutter type of session either. Your session should look the way you envision, with the people you envision being together with. Whatever you value documentation of, let’s do that, because investing in beautiful portraits is for the purpose of celebrating and cherishing the moments in life you want to remember forever. You don’t need to follow any recipe or pinterest checklist, you just need to be you, doing you with those you love most. This is what will make your portraits timeless. This is how you document your legacy.
The family in the session below booked me to document their extended family last summer. All the grown kids were in town, and they wanted to update their family portraits - both as nuclear families and extended. Time flies by way too fast when kids are growing up and loved ones live far away. So why not get everyone in the frame and stop time just for a moment, so it can be remembered always?
